While reading bulletins on myspace recently I seen one bulletin from a promoter announcing a very unusual band called Anubis. I was curious so I visited there myspace page got hooked, the lyrics are haunting and their page is interesting with interesting characters in the band they have a original defining sound thats Anubis and Isis singing will send chills down your spine. Some really great plans comming up with Anubis so tune in and listen!

A Little About Anubis

We will carry your Soul across the Nile as written in the Prophecy and there you will hear our music and be at rest. A N U B I S were formed in May 2007 by "Pete Williamson" (Bassist / Songwriter), Pete's daughter "Sarah Co'burn" (Singer / Songwriter) and "Simon Lees" (Lead Guitarist / Songwriter) in order to write and record their own brand of music in the band's Anubian Group of Studio's. Since it's conception the band has created interest across the globe and has now inlisted a second guitarist, Andy Hart. Drumming will be undertaken by a "Session Drummer" who will not be involved in the song writing and recording. The band will be taking it's show on the road in early 2009 mainly at festivals across Europe and hopefully beyond.

I discovered Swirl on myspace and they have three catchy tracks that are creating a buzz in the media Adrenaline, Controlled Emotions and Sleepwalker are the most requested popular songs on radio stations listed on their myspace. I look forward to their CD which will be comming out soon this band rocks tune in and check them out.

A Little About Swirl

Started ten years ago by two brothers Duane (DT) and Brian (Bam Bam) Jones who were born in the mid west and raised in Alaska. Their Lead Singer Al Ramirez joined only recently and since they have taken off! Having just left the studio with 2 new tracks "Adrenaline" and "Sleepwalker" in May 2008 (which feature Cinderella drummer Fred Coury playing, producing and mixing the tracks) to add to the tracks previously produced by both Quiet Riot guitarist Carlos Cavazo and ex Rough Cutt bassist Matt Thorr. Swirl`s blending of classic metal influences and modern style production, writing, recording techniques is getting the band a lot of attention in a very short time.
